Ideas - Binary Opposition

When we originally came up with the idea of our movie, we were trying to think of ways to play on the fact that the twins in the movie are totally opposite. We came up with the idea of using binary opposition to really exaggerate the differences between the two girls in the film. Binary opposition is a pair of theoretical opposites (extreme opposites).

Examples of these extreme opposites include, male and female, black and white & yes and no. We are going to use the titles to show this by using black and white on separate sides of the screen. We will also use black and white items of clothing. We are using the Black-White theory of Binary Opposites to represent Good vs Evil.

We have chosen to do this because White represents purity and innocence while Black is a representation of evil and darkness. This fits perfectly white our 'good twin, bad twin' plot.
