How does your media product represent practicular social groups?

In our film there are two main characters. We haven chosen to represent two different types of people using these characters, good people and bad people. The twins in our movie signify the two stereotypes we have chosen to portray. The 'baddie' twin is shown in an evil way by poisoning her own sister with intentions of killing her. We also dressed our baddie in dark clothing, her top was black with white stripes, this is similar to what you see in old films of people in prison, they wore black and white striped overalls. In the film she is represented as a middle-class professional, this is shown by the way she sits down with her sister to have a meal at the table with wine and crystal glasses.
This wouldnot be something that a working class person would do and neither would poisoning someone.
There is also a goodie in our film that we represent in the way 'good people' are. She wears a white top to show purity and innocence. We talked about whether or not their names would make a difference to whether or not they were good or bad in the audiences' eyes. We came up with two names that symbolised them as a person. Ivy for the bad twin, meaning poison Ivy. And Lily, a flower that signifies purity. It is also good that their names are both plants, this is symbolic of them being twins also.
