What kind of media institution might distribute your media product and why?

I think that Working Title and Universal Studios would be a could distribution company for my film. I think this because the film we have made is British and could appeal to an American audience also.
A film that was similar to ours was 'Single White Female'. The main character in the film needs to find  a roommate or else she will be evicted. She interviews a lot of unsuitable candidates before deciding on 'Heddy'. After a while, Heddy begins dressing he same as Allie and even gets the same haircut, resulting in a striking resemblance between the two women. After investigating Heddy's background, Allie finds out about her past and even finds that she is not who she claims to be. She had previously undergone a lot
of counseling because of her past. Heddy was looking for a female roommate to replace Judy ( her twin sister who died when they were young ) Thats why Heddy tries to look exactly like the person she is living with at that time, she is trying to replace her twin sister. Heddy had previously lived with a woman in Tampa, when things did not work out, she killed the woman in Tampa. As Heddy becomes more dangerous, Allie must find a way to free herself before she ends up dead like the woman in Tampa.
This film is similar to ours in the fact that there are a set of 'twins'. It is a phsyco-thriller where one 'twin' kills the other because of jealousy and hatred.
Columbia Pictures distributed 'Single White Female'. It was f
irst released in 1992 in the cinemas and made a total of just under $49,000,00. This shows that it was a successful movie and people were interested in watching it. I think our film would appeal to a similar kind of audience because it is a sort of m
odern day, British version of 'Single White Female'.
